Morning Adult League

Denali has been playing in the morning adult league (NTRP 4.5 and above) for a few months now. We start our match from 6, then play 8 game pro set singles. We also play doubles if there is enough time after the singles. I have been playing this league over 10 years, and players are competitive with impressive mental capability. This is a reason why Denali is learning how to play mental game from sneaky adult players.
Today, he played against Mike who hit with heavy fast pace shots with consistency. He however lack in movement. Denali lost 7-9 even though the score was 7-6 forty love Denali once. This is where higher mental players are able to come back, and Mike did in style.
After singles, Denali and I teamed up to play doubles against Scott and Dan who are best players in our league. We are able to win 6-3 against them which was a great accomplishment for us.
These matches have giving us more motivation to practice harder especially for Denali. Once again, we are planning to wake up early tomorrow to practice, then playing in after school. I am very satisfy with Denali's progress thus far.
